Home About Us News Support for Those Caring for a Loved One at Home

The Kowhai Programme has been created to provide education for those people who are caring for their loved ones who are receiving Otago Community Hospice Services.

The Kowhai Programme has traditionally been delivered via face-to-face sessions in Dunedin. In 2020 we were very excited to begin delivery of the Kowhai Programme in Wanaka, Alexandra, Cromwell, Oamaru and South Otago.

We also recognise that the need for the Kowhai Programme is ongoing and may still not be accessible to all due to time or distance. We have put many resources website to ensure those who can't attend our sessions, or those who need reminders, can access all the resources on offer at all times.  Added to this is the podcast series (see the article below).

For those people who are able to attend the Kowhai Programme sessions, it provides an opportunity to connect with others who are sharing similar experiences as well as gaining support and information. We encourage people to attend all the topics provided, however, you are very welcome to attend any of the sessions that look useful to you at any time.
