David Represented us at a National Level

I attended my first in-person meeting of the National Cancer Strategy Group in Wellington last week as the Palliative Medicine representative. A lot of information to take in regarding access to medications, target wait times for systemic chemotherapy, radiation therapy, etc.

It's an ambitious work plan, however I'm happy to participate in this effort and it is pleasing to see the acknowledgement of the need for supportive care in the larger work plan. 

A special interest group looking at primary Palliative Care competencies within the Oncology work force is our first charge.
