Otago Community Hospice Opens Hub in Cromwell
Hospice CEO, Ginny Green is thrilled to have found the busy team a more suitable space for them to grow and continue providing quality specialist palliative care throughout the Central region.
“We have moved our team – which includes care coordinators, specialist nurses and doctors, a kaimahi wairua/spiritual care coordinator, a counsellor and a social worker – over the last week to this new space which will really support their work in the community. It has space for consultations, counselling, office space for the growing team and for education delivery for our colleagues in primary health and patients and whānau.
“The community need is high so we have moved very quickly on this new location. The hub provides space for our team to build more connections in the community and we are all looking forward to that.
“It also happens to be Hospice Awareness Week - which runs from May 15th to 21st – so it’s fabulous to be blessing this space, and hosting an opening on Monday 15h May for the Hospice team and associates,” says Ms Green.
