Reception Volunteers Required - Dunedin

We require new reception volunteers for Dunedin.   Our reception desk is covered by volunteers between 5-7pm during week days and 9am-6pm (two shifts of 9am-1:30pm and 1:30pm-6pm) in the weekends and public holidays.  We are very keen for more volunteers who are available in the weekends and potentially short-notice to cover for sickness.  The role is mainly to be there to welcome visitors and answer the telephone, (sometimes there will also be some simple administrative tasks required also).  This role allows for the nurses to focus on patient care and not be interrupted by needing to open the front doors or answer the telephones.  This can be a slow pace role and many of our current volunteers bring a book, or study or other activity to keep them occupied.
