WE ARE HERE 4U.

Thank you to our Hospice Awareness Week 2024 sponsors:

Special thanks to Mitre10 who run their “add a dollar” campaign during this week.

Wherever You Are

Whatever is Needed

WE ARE HERE 4U.

One thing we like to remind our community year-on-year is that all of our patients (around 850 each year) receive
Otago Community Hospice’s specialist palliative care in their own home.

Our service is delivered via our specialist team to patients wherever they live – from Owaka to Waitahuna to Luggate
to Ranfurly. Wherever you are – WE ARE HERE 4U.

This Hospice Awareness Week we are profiling some of our team: a Night Carer who can relieve family carers
overnight when loved ones are in their last days of life, a Kaupapa Māori Care Coordinator to support Māori and
Pasifika tūroro and whānau, a Social Worker who visits patients in their homes across the region and a Carer
Educator who provides up-to-date and valuable education to carers via our podcast, walking side-by-side or
spending time in a group session. Whatever is needed - WE ARE HERE 4U.

These are the individuals that make our service what it is in your community. And this May we are raising funds to
support these people, whose roles have been designed to fit our community’s need.

We are looking for your support – you can donate the usual way, or you can text OCH4U to 4644 to donate $3. Please
share this “text to donate” detail with your friends and family so we can really make this WE ARE HERE 4U
campaign count.
