OCH has three buzzing ‘Butterflies’ shops that are brimming with clothes and housewares donated from our generous community. It’s the combination of fashion and bargains, while supporting a good cause, which makes shopping at Butterflies feel so good.
The Hanover shop is a big hit with students, not just for their vintage/retro goods, but also because experienced shop managers’ Robyn and Gerry know their market very well. “We stock up our green clothes, white sheets and other costume fodder then bring it all out when the costume parties are coming up”. So if you need a St Paddy’s outfit then Irish Gerry is your man!
Mosgiel locals should visit the team at 180 Gordon Road. Here you can pick up some great fashion labels at rock-bottom prices, along with occasional collectible antique and retro pieces. It’s worth dropping in frequently to be in first on these sorts of gems.
In 2011 Butterflies of Oamaru was opened with great support from the community. Situated on the main street of Oamaru, the boutique op-shop offers shoppers pre-loved treasures at rock-bottom prices.
